Sonder is a design of hand-painted botanical studies, exhibiting plant cuttings which are arranged methodically. Sonder is reminiscent of Victorian botany books of which supplies great stimulas in our work. Sonder is a neologism, coined by John Koenig for his online Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows. Meaning 'the realisation that each passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own'. We feel this philosophical notion encompasses the complex plant world too.
Available in Linen-White, Teal and Black.
