How to install our Wallpaper
A quick and helpful guide on how to install our beautiful non-woven wallpapers as well as answering your frequently answered questions.

Preparation
Our wallpaper is a non-woven 'paste the wall' product.
To install your wallpaper you will need wallpaper paste, which needs to be directly applied to the wall.

Dark wallpapers are printed on white paper so it is important to colour the edge of the paper with a watercolour pen or crayon in the same colour to avoid white seams showing.

To prepare your walls for wallpaper it is advised they are smoothed down and to possibly add a stripe of a similar colour on the wall behind where the seams will meet to avoid any visible wall showing if there is any shrinkage.

Make sure you have the correct tools ready to go;

Installation Tips
We recommend using Solvite's pre-made paste. There is one with a pink hue so you can see when the paste has been applied.

If your wallpapering a whole room, start in a corner of the room that is least visible so that when you have wallpapered the whole room, it doesn't matter as much that the pattern doesn't match.

Use a sharp Stanley knife and metal ruler to get the neatest lines when you trim your edges.

Walls and ceilings are almost never straight so be sure to use a plumb line/laser line to make sure your drops are hanging perfectly straight.

Wallpaper seams should butt up to each other and not overlap.

If you would like to install your wallpaper in a bathroom with a bath/shower. Make sure there is enough ventilation in the room and we recommend sealing the wallpaper after with 'Polyvine Water Resistant Decorators Varnish- Dead Flat Finish.'
