Monte Verde in colourway Morganite-Pink. Monte Verde translated in Spanish means 'green mountain' and inspiration for this print comes from the beautiful Monte Verde Cloud Forest in Costa Rica. A cloud forest occurs within tropical mountainous environments where there is consistent cloud cover and nearly 100% humidity throughout the year. This wet environment allowed for eco systems within eco systems. I was totally fascinated by how each tree trunk was completely inhabited by hundreds of smaller specimens of and that’s was the starting point for the design. Morganite is a stunning palette of mineral earthy pinks on an off-white background. The gemstone morganite is said to inspire healing, compassion and promise.
